Neither this site nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, or another use governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The site organizes Texas release-record and offender-search resources. It is not a private investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency.
Nature of the Service
This is a private reference service. It does not store an official jail, prison, parole, or court record. It cannot confirm custody, cause a release, submit a government request, or file a court document for a visitor.
The statewide pages point toward TDCJ information, county release records, supervision contacts, federal locators, and third-party search tools. A link or summary does not turn this site into the source agency.
Acceptable Use Rules
Access is conditioned on lawful, respectful use. A visitor agrees not to:
- violate a law or another person's rights;
- stalk, harass, intimidate, or threaten anyone;
- make hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions from site content;
- attempt access to systems or data without permission;
- operate bots, scrapers, or automated collection tools; or
- damage, overload, or disrupt service for others.
No Consumer Reports
Texas Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not provide background checks, credit reports, consumer reports, or screening services, and its advertising partners do not provide those services through this site. A visitor agrees not to use the information for:
- hiring, retention, promotion, or termination;
- tenant or housing screening;
- creditworthiness or insurance pricing;
- license, permit, or public-benefit eligibility; or
- any other FCRA-covered decision.

Severability
